Hello, fellow romance readers... We are at the end of our first month! Sadly it has been a shorter month than we originally anticipated, but we are here now and there are plenty of books available to snap up!
MARCH ROUND-UP
We had planned to open our virtual doors on the 1st of March, but unfortunately, due to yours truly being utterly clueless when it comes to websites, domains, and something called 'DNS pointing', we had to postpone. Finally, after nearly 3 weeks of emails between MarkMonitor and Squarespace, we managed to get set up and start selling!
Our very first drop included a pretty total of 42 books, including out of print copies of the A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J. Maas, books 1-3 of the Playing for Keeps series by Becka Mack, and deluxe editions of Icebreaker and Daydream by Hannah Grace.
Our first monthly category spotlight fell on Small Town Romances, one of my personal favourite categories to read! Keep your eyes on the site on the 1st of April for plenty more small-town reads to come.
APRIL PREVIEW
April hosts the height of spring - my favourite season! Often associated with a refresh, or renewal of life, it makes sense that Smut Club's category spotlight will be Friends-to-Lovers!
From the 1st of April, apply discount code F2LOVE at check out to receive 20% off your second** item.
We have managed to snatch up some great finds for April, including the Chestnut Springs series by Elsie Silver, the Twisted series by Ana Huang, and signed copies of the Probably Smut special editions of Icebreaker and Wildfire by Hannah Grace.
The shop will be on holiday from the 16th - 19th April, as I am heading to Jersey for a long weekend!
Looking ahead to May (who knew I was so organised?), I plan to go on a big charity shop trawl in search of some steals. You can follow us on Instagram for any other shopping updates.
Love, Katie @ SHSC xoxo
**Applicable only to purchases of 2 items or more. A minimum of 2 items in your basket must come from the Friends-to-Lovers category. This code will expire after the 30th April
