  1. What was your overall opinion of the book?
I loved how much it made me ~feel~ but I also hated those feelings because now I’m really f***ing sad.

  2. What was your favourite moment/scene in the book?
Ash seeing her mum one last time at the end. I think she really needed that closure.

  3. Which character did you like best/most identify with?
Esen… our humour is pretty similar and probably would be in death too.

  4. Did any themes or messages in the book change your perspective on anything?
I don’t know if they changed anything but I would hate to leave someone behind without having resolved something like Ash had to with her mum.

  5. How did the author’s writing style impact your reading experience?
Tanya writes with a lot of introspection and prose-like passages which didn’t feel too overbearing and I really enjoyed it (when I wasn’t crying).

  6. Was this book relatable to you in any way?
    No, thank God.

  7. What is the one thing about this book you will remember, even a year from now?
The imagery in the prologue…really beautiful.

  8. How likely would you be to recommend the book to someone else? (use a sliding scale of 1-5 if easier)
3-4 it’s a bit heavy for some and I think some people wouldn’t be able to get their head around the afterlife/reaper aspect of it but it’s a really great book so I’d try my damn best.
