What was your overall opinion of the book?
I looooved it. The tropes in this book are my kryptonite and so many times I put off reading it because I didn’t want to be disappointed but it really lived up to my expectations!
-
What was your favourite moment/scene in the book?
Truth or dare… I love quiet, intimate scenes.
-
Which character did you like best/most identify with?
I think Prue and I are similar in a lot of ways (introverted, stubborn, slow to trust, introspective). I made the mistake of reading a review that said she was boring, but she’s spent almost all of her adult life caring for her mum and working for her dad. Of course she’s a bit boring, but I don’t think it’s a bad thing and it makes sense for the story.
-
Did any themes or messages in the book change your perspective on anything?
Not really.
-
How did the author’s writing style impact your reading experience?
HBY is always an easy read, with sprinklings of wisdom and pretty words that make every book very enjoyable.
-
Was this book relatable to you in any way?
I don’t think so.
-
What is the one thing about this book you will remember, even a year from now?
I’m a visual person and unfortunately Milo is physically very much my type, so I know I will think about him (just him) very often.
-
How likely would you be to recommend the book to someone else? (use a sliding scale of 1-5 if easier)
A big ol’ 5!
